About our Buffalo horn jewellery
Here at Branch Jewellery, we are deeply committed to creating ethical and sustainable products. We’re excited to introduce our handmade Buffalo Horn collection - a stunning range crafted with care and responsibility.
In Southeast Asia, buffaloes have been an essential part of farming for over 5,000 years. Small independent farmers continue to rely on them for ploughing rice fields, while they are also farmed for their meat and milk. The horn used in our jewellery is a by-product of this agricultural industry, a material that would otherwise go to waste.
For generations, skilled artisans in small, rural workshops have been handcrafting products from buffalo horn using time-honoured techniques. Our collection is made following these traditional methods, ensuring that each piece reflects the craftsmanship and heritage of its makers. We proudly uphold Fair Trade principles, providing artisans with fair wages and supporting their communities through ethical manufacturing and trade.
Due to the natural variations in buffalo horn, each piece in our collection is unique, featuring its own distinct patterns and colour tones. This individuality is what makes our horn jewellery so special—no two pieces are ever exactly alike.
